Orrec was on a vision quest. He was wandering through the jungle and looking for several items- Two halves of a bow, three "Arrows of Discipline," six "Arrows of Harmony," and nine "Arrows of Destiny." By collecting these, he would be eligible to be a senior Cleric. He had taken this test many times- Every junior cleric takes the test once a year, and he had failed it many times. He had already discovered the bow halves and assembled the Bow. He now came to the "Arrows of Discipline," which were atop a rock spire. He began to climb the spire, quietly, quickly...

Moreil gripped the shaft of his scythe and watched Orrec, his face obscured by the hood covering his face. His dark robe shrouded most of the rest of him, not counting his legs. The upper part of both limbs were armoured, a little - then a stretch of bone - then metal, hoof-like feet. His eyes glowed a blue-green colour as he gave a quiet snort of laughter at the strange creature. Sometimes, he wondered why the Creator sent him to other realms like this... still, it was fun. He stretched his dark, shifting wings. They were strange to look at, they gave the impression of feathered wings, but they seemed liquid, more tendril-like. And dark. Like oil. His robe was similar in it's appearance. The Angel faded into a shadowy crevice as Orrec neared him.

Orrec felt like he was being watched... but he kept slowly climbing the spire despite his distinct disadvantage of not having proper limbs. He growled a bit and continued to the top of the rock. Slowly, but surely he scaled the spire, slipping at times. He was becoming exhausted already. He now remembered why he hated this test so much. Eventually he made it to the top and placed the three arrows in his satchel.

Moreil crawled around further down to get a better view of him. He snorted. "A rather strange test for a creature like this." He commented, under his 'breath'.

The Serpent sighed, "So much for that. The next part is much easier for me." He slithered down the spire with ease and headed east. He came across a chasm with vines hanging over it. It was not deep enough to cause a lethal fall for him, but if he fell in, it was an autofail. He place all his tools in his satchel and Orrec grabbed a thick vine. He roared and swung from the vine into the tree tops where he easily slithered across them, jumping whenever needed. He easily got to the other side, "Too easy."

The Angel watched him. Growing bored of watching form a distance, he collapsed himself, with some considerable effort, into a large, crow-like animal. He bounced up to Orrec.

Orrec turned to see the creature, "Oh, just some wildlife." He pressed on, getting to the next part- a raging river he would have to swim across. "Wonderful..." He sighed. This is where he had been failing lately. He was NOT a swimmer having come from a world of fire.

Moreil hopped onto a log. He cawed, then proceeded to fly across to the other side and sit down. He looked at the red creature, smugly.

"You jerk..." He sighed. He cast a spell on himself to protect him from death by water, and proceeded to try to swim across the river, getting whipped about by it. He went under for several seconds, then resurfaced a ways away, in the middle of the stream. He was really getting battered by the waters, breathing heavily and spastically, already a quarter to death even with the spell.

Moreil flew after him, cawing. He sighed. "You are a fool."

He did not hear the angel. He just kept going... and he leaped out of the water to land on shore. He was half dead, but he smiled. He finally got past that river. He slithered back to the trail and he pulled the six "Arrows of Harmony" out of a post. "All that's left is the Arrows of Destiny."

Moreil landed on Orrec's tail. "Caw." He announced.

"Oh hello again bird." He kept moving forward... "Are you sapient, bird?"

Moreil settled down on his scales, then blinked. "Moo."

"I guess not." He came across a large, steep cliff. "Guess I have to scale that..."
